Do you know another city with a primary forest in the middle of it?

Get to know the jungle trails, where more than 380 bird species has registered. The park offers a visitor center, a convenience store, toilets, four lookouts, Butterflies house (extra fee), and a stunning wildlife in every corner.

The Tour start at 6:45 am from the visitor center, almost inmediately we will began our eBird list. There are several main points where special species can be seen. The first kilometer is flat, but we can climb a little to one of the lookouts if you decide to do that. The specialities of this tour are: Rosy-thrush Tanager, Lance-tailed Manakin, Slaty-tailed Trogon, Orange-billed Sparrow, among others.

Fee includes entrance fee, professional guide, and bottle of water.  Transportation is not included. Tours last 5 hours. Long sleeves, and mosquito repelent are needed. No sandals, no shorts for your safety.


World wide recognized Pipeline Road starts at the PRDC. This is the best spot to see canopy species, because of a 34 meters observation tower installed in the middle of the property. There are hummingbirds feeders full of birds almost year round. Tour includes tower, visitor center, and lake lookout. The specialities of this tour are: Blue Cotinga (jan - june), Purple-throated Fruitcrow, Crimson-crested Woodpecker, Black-faced Anttrush, Southern Bentbill, among others.


Fee includes entrance fee, professional guide, coffe at the visitor center, snack and a bottle of water. Transportation is not included, but could be arranged upon request. Tour starts at 6:30am for six hours. Trails are mostly flat with little elevations. Long sleeves, mosquito repelent are needed. No sandals, no shorts for your safety.



Combine a great shore bird watching with a cultural visit.  Panama Viejo use to be the main city of the country until it's destruction in 1671 by the Henry Morgan´s pirates. It has several ruins full of history in a 28 hectares of flat grasslands in the front of Panama Bay.  Every year, millions of shorebirds, gulls, terns, herons, and egrets, visit the mudflats producing a list of more than 150 species.

The specialities of this tour are: Saffron Finch, Wood Stork, Common Black Hawk, Crested Caracara, Mangrove Yellow Warbler, among others.  In addition you will visit the old tower to have breathtaking views of the city, the brand new museum, and the indigenous handicrafts market.

Fee includes entrance fee, professional guide, and bottle of water.  Transportation is not included. Tour depends entirely on tide, so depending of it, the itinerary will be planned. There are few mosquitoes, hat is needed. 


CERRO AZUL - Visit the Hummingbird house where more than 20 species has been seen, the three panamanian honeycreepers, tanagers, and warblers can be spoted here. The tour includes the entrance to a gated community, access to the observation deck in a family house, snack, bottle of water, transportation (4x4 rented car), entrance fees, professional guide, and  lunch at the club. Tour starts at 5:30am at your hotel. Return is after lunch.


CERRO ANCON - Climb the tallest point in Panama City, a place full of birds and other wildlife. This is specialy good in the raptor migration seasson (Oct - Nov). The access to the summit is only by walking, so you will have breathtaking views of the city while looking for the birds in the hill forest.  We can find Keel-billed Toucan, Woodpeckers, Woodcreepers, Tanagers, Flycatchers, and many more.  At the top there is an observation deck wich is one of the top five world wide bird migration observation points, with a record of one million raptors in one single day.  Tour starts at 7:00 am directly at the hill. It includes professional guide, bottle of water. It last 4 hours. You should be able to climb slopes of 30 degrees. The road is asphalted. Toilets are available at the top.
